JCA Title
     2009 Recap Press Release

Sixth Annual Jacqueline Cochran Air Show

Going Mach speed 1.95 which translates to 1,288 mph; the F-16 fighter jets thunderous roar howled through the deserts' blue skies November 7, 2009.  Year after year the Jacqueline Cochran Air Show brings in over 35,000 people as it remains a FREE community event.  All the pilots did an amazing job with their aerobatics and special talents.

The crowd was in awe over the likes of Rob Harrison, “The Tumbling Bear,” Jon Melby flying upside down, Martin Kennedy gliding through the air in the Stadacher S600, one of the top aerobatic planes in the world, Doug Jardine spinning in the air, Bill Reesman in the Red Bull MIG-17F, and Melissa Pemberton in the Edge 540 aircraft.   Golden stars skydiving team spiraled overhead with smoke, banners and the American flag.

The kid zone brought in families with its array of FREE fun including: face painting, the Mad Hatter, jumpers and rides.  To end the day, the C-17 took off to give the attendees and experience they will never forget.  Join us next year November 6, 2010 for the 7th annual Jacqueline Cochran Air Show.
